About
Creatively directed and produced by Ripley Kavara, Lap Dance For Rights is a one of a  queer event that fundraises for human rights, one lap dance at a time.  It's a celebration of pleasure being exchanged between queer people. It decentres the cis white hetero gaze and gives permission for our community to worship and love on black and brown, trans, disabled, fat bodies. Bodies that don't get acknowledged for their beauty in mainstream society. Doing all of this with the purpose of fundraising for an important cause.

Lap Dance For Rights has supported:
Djap Wurrung Embassy, Free West Papua,  Many Coloured Sky, Beyond Bricks & Bars and BlaQ
